SHOULD I HAVE AN ULTRASOUND PRIOR TO TAKING THE ABORTION PILL?
We recommend everyone have an ultrasound before ending or terminating a pregnancy for a few reasons. First, ultrasound is the most reliable way to determine how far along you are in your pregnancy (which will impact the effectiveness of an abortion). Additionally, an ultrasound is the only way to confirm that you do not have an ectopic pregnancy which is a serious, life-threatening case where a pregnancy occurs outside of the uterus.
