  • The FDA only approves the abortion pill through 10 weeks gestation. Accurately dating your pregnancy through an ultrasound is crucial to the decision-making process as it will determine if the abortion pill is even an option.

Additionally, an ultrasound is the only way to confirm that you do not have an ectopic pregnancy which is a serious, life-threatening case where a pregnancy occurs outside of the uterus.
